Welcome to the Directorate of Internal Audit of the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS). The Directorate of Internal Audit plays a critical role in supporting the University’s mandate by providing independent and objective assurance and advisory services aimed at strengthening governance, risk management, internal controls, accountability and compliance across all levels of the University.
Our work is guided by professional standards and best practices and is focused on adding value, safeguarding resources, promoting transparency and enhancing institutional performance. Through a collaborative and consultative approach, we engage the University Council, University Management and all stakeholders to identify risks, improve systems and processes and support the effective and efficient achievement of the University’s strategic objectives.
At UHAS, the Directorate of Internal Audit is not only an assurance function but also a partner in continuous improvement. We are committed to professionalism, integrity, objectivity and confidentiality in the discharge of our responsibilities, while maintaining our independence as required by law and professional standards.
